Welcome to Blue Skies Exploration Academy!

Blue Skies Exploration Academy is a Reggio Emilia influenced early learning center in Colorado Springs. The Reggio Emilia philosophy of learning is a modern, reflective way of teaching and interacting with young children, combining the best qualities of Play-Based, Waldorf and Montessori methods into a socially and environmentally connected learning community.

We believe in the importance of laying a foundation for a lifetime of learning by encouraging children to explore their interests more deeply through doing, asking questions, and having fun. Our programs will provide you with the comfort of knowing every child is safe, loved, and happy as they grow and learn.

Blue Skies Exploration Academy is the best program for my child. The love and care is second to none. Every day there are activities my daughter participates in. Her skills are developed through fun and educational activities. I wouldn’t trust my daughter with anyone else.

Our UPK friends got their hands a little dirty today—in the best way 🌱💚

They spent time in our garden beds planting vegetables, and it was such a meaningful experience for them! Gardening isn’t just fun—it helps children learn patience as they wait for their plants to grow, responsibility as they care for them, and confidence as they see the results of their hard work.

It also sparks curiosity about where food comes from, encourages healthy habits, and gives them a chance to connect with nature in a hands-on way 🌞🥕
